At Cincinnati State, we offer a range of nursing programs to prepare you for licensure exams for a career in nursing. Whether you are new to healthcare or an experienced RN-ADN looking to continue your education, we have a program to help you achieve your career goals.

After successful completion of the 75-hour certificate course, students are eligible to take the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation offered by the Ohio Department of Health to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).

The Nurse Aide Training course (MCH 130) may be completed at our Clifton or Middletown campus with clinicals.

After successful completion of the one year certificate program, students are eligible to take the national standardized NCLEX-PN exam for licensure as a Practical Nurse (PN).

This is a selective admission program with pre-requisites. The curriculum is structured to be completed in three continuous semesters of study (if attending full-time) at our Clifton campus with clinicals.

Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), and upon passing, work as Registered Nurses (RN-ADN).

This is a two year associate degree with pre-requisites, and is taught on our Clifton campus with clinicals. Already have your LPN? Visit LP to RN Progression

Our online degree provides an efficient and affordable option for licensed registered nurses to earn the degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in as little as three semesters/ one year.

As a RN-BSN, you may assume increased leadership roles in health care agencies employing nurses, and/or further your education for your MSN or DNP.
